翼の内側と瞳は鮮やかな赤い色をしている。 背中の翼による飛行能力は高く、地上1400メートルで飛行可能。 炎は非常に高温で、岩を焼き、何でも溶かすほどだが、数多くの戦闘経験をつんだリザードンの炎は温度が上昇し、苦戦した個体ほど高音になると言われる。 炎を吐く時、尻尾の先の炎はより赤く、激しく燃え上がる。
